Psalm 103

Bless Yahweh, I tell myself,

    everything inside me should bless Yahweh's holy name.

Bless Yahweh, I tell myself,

    do not forget all Yahweh's benefactions.

Yahweh is the one who forgives all your iniquities,

    who heals all your sicknesses,

    who redeems your life from the Pit,

    who crowns you with loyalty and motherly mercy,

    who satisfies you with good things as long as you live,

        so that your youthfulness is renewed like the eagle's.

Yahweh brings about vindication and justice for all who are oppressed.

Yahweh made known his ways to Moses,

    his deeds to the Israelites.

Here begins the psalm segment for Pentecost 17, Series A.

Yahweh displays motherly mercy and graciousness,

    Yahweh is slow to show anger and abounding in loyalty.

Here ends the Psalm segment for Pentecost 12 in Series C

Yahweh will not always accuse,

    nor will he maintain his anger forever.

Yahweh does not deal with us in proportion to our sins,

    nor repay us in proportion to our iniquities.

As the sky is high above the earth,

    so great is Yahweh's loyalty toward those who reference him.

As far as the east is from the west,

    so far he removes our rebellions from us.

As parents show motherly mercy to their children,

    Yahweh shows motherly mercy to those who reverence him.

Here ends the psalm segment for Pentecost 17, Series A

For Yahweh understands how we were made;

    Yahweh remembers that we are only dust.

As for humans, their days are like grass;

    they flourish like flowers of the field;

for the wind passes over them and they are gone,

    and their place does not acknowledge them anymore.

But the loyalty of Yahweh is from everlasting to everlasting upon those who reverence him,

    his faithfulness to his relationships endures from one generation to another,

    to those who stay loyal to his covenant

    and remember to do his precepts.

Yahweh has established his throne in the sky,

    and his royal rule governs everything.

Bless Yahweh, all you who are his angels,

    you mighty ones who perform his word,

    who listen to the sound of his word.

Bless Yahweh, all you who are part of his heavenly armies,

    his ministers, who carry out his good pleasure.

Bless Yahweh, all his works,

    in all places where his rule is acknowledged.

Bless Yahweh, I tell myself.
