Psalm 34

I will bless Yahweh on every occasion;

    Yahweh's praise will constantly be in my mouth.

My innermost self takes pride in Yahweh;

    let the humble hear and rejoice.

Magnify Yahweh with me,

    and let us raise his name high together.

I sought Yahweh and Yahweh answered me,

    and delivered me from everything I dreaded.

Look to Yahweh and be radiant;

    so that your faces will never be put to shame.

This sufferer cried out, and Yahweh heard;

    Yahweh saved this person from every trouble.

The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear Yahweh,

    and delivers them.

Taste and see that Yahweh is good;

    how to be emulated are those who take refuge in Yahweh.

Fear Yahweh, you holy ones,

    for nothing is lacking for those who fear Yahweh.

The young lions suffer want and grow hungry,

    but those who seek Yahweh lack nothing that is good.

Come, children, listen to me;

    I will teach you about the fear of Yahweh.

Which of which takes pleasure in life,

    and loves many days in which to experience good?

Keep your tongue from evil,

    and your lips from speaking deceitfully.

Depart from evil, and do good;

    seek peace and pursue it.

The eyes of Yahweh are on the righteous,

    Yahweh's ears are attentive to their cry.

The face of Yahweh is against those who do evil,

    to cut off their memory from the earth.

They cry to Yahweh, and Yahweh hears,

    and delivers them from all their troubles.

Yahweh stands by those who are broken hearted,

    Yahweh saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Many are the troubles of the righteous,

    but Yahweh delivers the righteous from them all.

Yahweh protects all their bones;

    not one of them shall be broken.

Calamity brings death to the wicked,

    those who hate the righteous will be condemned.

Here begins the second segment of the psalm for All Saints Day, Series A

Yahweh redeems the life of those who worship Yahweh;

    none who take refuge in Yahweh will be condemned.
